Scholarship description: The successful candidate will carry out a Phd Programmes project in aptamer research, more precisely the evolution that contain LNA aptamers. LNA (locked nucleic acid) is a nucleotide analog that has been used extensively in drug discovery and biotechnology, and subject to the approval and signature of the final contract this PhD project will be initiated as part of "EVOLNA", grant ERC-forward. Phd Programmes project will include the synthesis of nucleoside triphosphate derivatives of LNA, LNA-containing oligonucleotides, the evolution of LNA-containing aptamers, and binding studies on different molecular targets. http://www.callforpapersinfo.com
